Hello.
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, currently working on the ERC-project “Coherent Hypothesis Tests for Experimental Research” alongside Eric-Jan Wagenmakers. Previously, I worked on Bayesian structural equation modeling funded by a Walter-Benjamin-Fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG).
My professional interest lies with statistical modeling: in particular, developing methods to help researchers learn about patterns in their data. These methods are ideally, but not exclusively, Bayesian. In my published work, I mainly focus on psychometrics, particularly reliability estimation and structural equation modeling.
In addition to my research, I develop open-source tools for statistics, including modules for JASP (BFpack, Factor, Reliability, SEM) and the R package Bayesrel. I am also a co-founder of JASP Services BV.
I strongly believe that science should be accessible to everyone. To that end, I strive to publish open-access content whenever possible, and I ensure that the methods I develop are implemented in free and open-source software platforms, such as R and JASP.
